The Monarch Series features the Super 8 Infinity burner and stainless steel components on a sturdy steel pedestal. With Broil King, a smaller grill is just as powerful and durable as a large one. Our barbecues are built by people who love to grill. For decades we have been building grills for barbecue enthusiasts all over the world. The heart of the grill is the oven itself. While an inferior cook box is less expensive to manufacture, Broil King's cast aluminum oven is superior in every way. Aluminum is rust-proof, retains heat for even and efficient cooking, and because it is die-cast - not stamped - we are able to mold it into a shape that will improve cooking performance.

Designing a Built in BBQ Grill

!±8± Designing a Built in BBQ Grill

Every backyard grilling maestro has the dream of building his/her own backyard grill. This may be a simple brick charcoal model or a full blown outdoor kitchen. Either way building your backyard grill consists of two phases, the design phase and the construction phase. Both phases are important, but the design phase sets the stage for the whole project. This phase consists of three parts.

Choose a Design: There are three basic backyard BBQ grill designs: Bar, L, and U. The bar design is a rectangle usually 8-10 ft long and 3 ft deep. This model is perfect for a medium sized grill insert with sufficient counter cupboard space. The L design contains a perpendicular extension off of the bar and looks like an L from the air. This model gives more counter space and has the capacity for a larger grill insert. The U design adds another perpendicular bar off of the main unit. This is the ultimate BBQ design. It has maximum counter and cupboard space, and can be decked out with outdoor appliances such as a sink and refrigerator. Draw a Scale Model: This is the necessary step to flush out all of the details about your built in BBQ. You can either draw your model on paper or using a computer. Both ways work well, and the choice depends on your preference. An easy way to draw the model is to use SketchUp, a free 3-D modeling CAD software. It is easy to use and helps to visualize your grill from all angles. Mark the Construction Area: The final design phase is to mark out the perimeter of your grill in the location that you will build it. Many times it is during this phase that you will decide to make the grill larger or smaller; sometimes you will even change the basic design because of space constraints. Though this may be the simplest step it is the most important before construction. There is nothing worse than laying a foundation only to find that the plans will not work as drawn.

By following these three simple steps you will be able to design a grill that suits your grilling style and will be useful for years to come.

Indoor Electric Grill

!±8± Indoor Electric Grill

A panini grill is a must have kitchen appliance for everyone. Whether you live in a house or a small apt. Why even a college dorm room is a great place for a panini maker. Not only can you make fantastic panini sandwiches with a panini grill, you can also use it as an indoor electric grill.

Using a panini grill isn't limited to heating up the sandwich itself, you can also grill the ingredients before you assemble the sandwich. How about making something with grilled onions? Making sausage and pepper sandwiches? Both the sausage and the peppers can be cooked on a panini grill.

There's a few things to remember when you're using your panini press as an indoor electric grill. Number one is the grease. If you're cooking a fatty meat, it's going to create drippings. Make sure that you have something to catch the grease with. The George Foreman Grill which makes terrific panini sandwiches is slopped and comes with a dish to catch the drippings. Most well made panini grills will come with something similar.

Another important thing to remember is that you shouldn't cook raw meat with other ingredients. Say you're making a grilled chicken panini with peppers and onions. You should never have the raw chicken on the grill at the same time as the raw vegetables. Cook them separately to avoid salmonella issues. But this is a good tip not only for indoor electric grills but for anything that you're cooking on.

Some panini grills today even come with interchangeable grilling plates. If you have one like this then why not slap the flat grilling plates on there and cook up some breakfast. Eggs, bacon and pancakes can all be cooked on a flat grill. Sometimes a panini grill will even come with waffle grilling plates. Keep this in mind when choosing a panini maker.

If you're looking to save money by cutting back on expensive lunches, then you need to look into getting a panini grill. Not only does it make outstanding panini sandwiches with traditional sandwich ingredients, you can also use it as an indoor electric grill to turn your leftovers into works of art.
